Family Fun and Schooling: Campouts and More Biology

Big Sis had her first BSA social distancing hike and campout this weekend:

We went swimming at our friends' pool again this week.

It was my first time back in the water since baby A was born. It felt so good to get some laps in.

We did some experiments with yeast for science class.
We were trying to get the yeast to puff up this balloon, but I might not have left enough air space... Then we looked at yeast growing under the microscope.
I left the microscope set up this week and it was in use regularly.  We looked at salt, sugar, carpet fibers,  various bugs, and many of the slides from the pre-made boxes.

Miss L is currently into break dancing. Takes after her dad.

Also my new crepe making pan came in the mail this week! My old ones are at least 10 years old and the non-stick coating is wearing off. Plus, the kids have been cooking with them which is also hard on them.  I doubled my Frenchies' recipe and it made enough for us to each have 3 for dinner. I ran out of milk so they were a wee bit on the thick side, but still so yummy.
All that was missing were these lovely people! I wish you were here.
