I am sharing a heavenly dessert with you today.  Perfect for the upcoming national celebrations which, here in North America, we will be taking note of on both the 1st and the 4th of July.  But holidays aside, this fabulously tasty dish is welcome any time and on any occasion! Berry Angel Pie!  What you have here is a really light dessert, which is perfect to serve after a heavy meal or when you have been BBQ-ing.     I have shared a lemon version of this before. *This Lavender Lemon Blackberry Cake + Cream Cheese Frosting features tender lemon cake filled with tart blackberries all sandwiched between fluffy cream cheese frosting

My love for lavender is no secret. Lemon and blackberries are up there too. Why not throw them all into a cake, right? That’s what we do here.     This cake calls for lavender oil to flavor. Keto Lime Curd Tart is an easy and delicious dessert for your Keto lifestyle

Joanie really outdid herself with this one. The sweet/tart taste lasts on your palate. The almond/coconut flour crust tastes like shortbread. It is light and flaky with just a touch of graininess and crunch in the crust. Her creation has all of the tang of Key Lime Pie, but with a curd style filling. The best part is a large slice will have only 6g of net carbs! Lime curd is thick and made with traditional ingredients – fruit, butter, eggs, and sweetener. It is easy to transform a very decadent dessert into a low-carb masterpiece simply by substituting a sugar-free sweetener in place of the normal recipe sugar. Joanie likes to bake with Erythritol, but you could also use...

The sweeter side of carrots.

Carrots are kind of a do-it-all veggie. You can eat them raw, cut into strips in a lunchbox or shredded in a salad. You can toss them into a pot of soup or stew, or serve them alongside a simple meal like meatloaf. You can even dress them up to be a standout side dish on their own, such as my Honey Garlic Roasted Carrots. But perhaps the most amazing feature of this multi-talented vegetable is that it can also make dessert. And not just any dessert, but a truly rich, moist, fabulous cake. There are lots of different recipes for carrot cake out there, with varying amounts of carrots, oil, and sugar. But I feel confident in calling this...
